Hol Chan Marine Reserve + Shark + Ray Alley Snorkel

Then a short boat ride south from the reserve you’ll slip into the water with the stingrays and nurse sharks at shark + ray alley, watch them feed, then enjoy tropical breezes and a comfortable seat as you return to san pedro town. Pick-up and drop-off at 9 am and 2 pm from the closest dock to the guest’s location on the eastside of san pedro town.

Hol Chan Marine Reserve At Sunset

Mexico Rocks Snorkel

Mexico rocks is a gem for both the novice and advanced snorkeler. Shallow, with a maximum depth of only 3 m (12 ft) this area is well inside the reef and is protected from bigger ocean swells making it an excellent beginner’s snorkeling spot. For the more experienced snorkeler the abundance of marine life makes fish identification an adventure. There are more than 35 species fish including puffer and parrot and it is a natural incubator for juveniles protected by the huge variety of coral. Mexico rocks is a just 15-minute boat ride from san pedro. Once there, your tour guide will give you a short history on the area and a briefing and then you’ll be guided through the pristine waters. Pick-up and drop-off at 9 am and 2 pm from the closest dock to the guest’s location on the eastside of san pedro town.

Coral Gardens Snorkel

Coral gardens is a small concentration of very colourful corals along the reef, about 15-minutes from san pedro. This area is known for captivating, vibrant coral formations, but especially for its “dancing fans”. There is a wide variety of marine life and chances that you might even spot a manatee among the fish and conch. Dipping into the shallows of coral gardens, starting at about 1.5 m (5 ft), your tour guide will take you on an adventure you won’t soon forget. Pick-up and drop-off at 9 am and 2 pm from the closest dock to the guest’s location on the eastside of san pedro town.

Caye Caulker Snorkel

The ultimate snorkel experience starts at hol chan marine reserve where your tour guide will introduce you to belize’s abundance of marine life. Then it’s off to shark + ray alley where you’ll swim with nurse sharks and stingrays a third stop at caye caulker north channel where there is a slight chance of seeing manatees ( no promises ). Once you’ve had your fill you’ll enjoy a boat ride to caye caulker where you’ll disembark in the quaintest caribbean island you’ve ever seen to explore and enjoy lunch at your leisure. After exploring the island you will have the chance to feed the tarpons on the back of the island. The non-stop boat ride back to san pedro is about 20 minutes where you’ll be able to relax and soak up some sun. Pick-up and drop-off at 9 am from the closest dock to the guest’s location on the east side of san pedro town.

Hol Chan Dive + Snorkel

A very knowledgeable dive masters and boat crew will curate a 1, 2 or 3 tank adventure customized to suit your skill level and enthusiasm in a safe and exciting environment. The close proximity of the reef, just .5 km (.25 m) offshore gives the dive master more than forty named sites to choose from within a five to 15-minute boat ride from San Pedro. Weather and diversity of the group will determine the site, and from there the briefing and guided tour.

If you are enjoying the Hol Chan dive + snorkel you will enjoy Hol Chan marine reserve’s abundance of marine life on a 1-tank dive with your dive master. Then you will be joining the nurse sharks and stingrays for a snorkel at shark + ray alley before making your way back to San Pedro town. Pick-up and drop-off at 9 am and 2 pm from the closest dock to the guest’s location on the East side of San Pedro town.
