Discover Ambergris Caye’s marine life and coral reefs on a half day snorkeling tour to the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark + Ray Alley on a guided tour. A short boat ride will put you swimming above bright coral formations in Hol Chan where you can watch for the sea turtles, eels and colourful fish that thrive within the protected area.
The reserve is at a cut in the reef, or small channel (Hol Chan) and is 23 m (85 ft) wide and 9 m (29 ft) deep. Then a short boat ride south from the reserve you’ll slip into the water with the stingrays and nurse sharks at Shark + Ray Alley, watch them feed, then enjoy tropical breezes and a comfortable seat as you return to San Pedro Town.
